What is Coronavirus (Covid-19)

If we are to simply define viruses:

Viruses are known to be the simplest organisms that can reproduce themselves. There is only a protein layer surrounding molecules called DNA or RNA that carry their genetic structure. It is a contagious virus that was first seen in the Wuhan region of China in December 2019, causing respiratory tract infection and can be passed from person to person. It is known that the disease is transmitted by droplets and contact. It is one of the viruses that can jump from animals to humans. Coronavirus, which looks like flu in terms of appearance, is a deadly disease. The term COVID-19 is used by the World Health Organization for definition. It is defined as a pandemic due to the global epidemic situation it creates. Coronaviruses look like a round crown with protrusions. Therefore, they are named with the word corona, which means crown in Latin.

Coronavirus symptoms include:

Shortness of breath,

Cough with phlegm

Throat ache,

Muscle and joint pain,

Nausea or vomiting,

Anorexia,

Runny nose

Headache,

Severe respiratory failure

Conditions such as kidney failure can be among the symptoms of coronavirus.

The mask and immune system are very important to protect against the virus. Coronavirus detection is done with the pcr test. Many alternative vaccines have been found for treatment. For example: Biontech, Sputnik V, Moderna, AstraZeneca etc.
